Title: Painting over metal flake paint...
Post by: Aaron N. on October 27, 2013, 08:22:25 PM
So, as I start on my bot restoration, I find myself with a big uncertainty: How well does metal flake take to being painted over?

Will a few good coats of primer do the job? Will filler putty stick to it? Or is it best to just start anew?

Honest opinion?  Strip, prime, and paint.

I doubt you'd ultimately be satisfied with anything less... or otherwise why even do the restoration, right?

Can you recommend anything to take paint off resin?
