Gypsy / Re: Gypsy reproduction car seats?

The only material that makes sense offhand is fiberglass, and there's zero chance I'm going to be doing that myself.  If I can get the seat pieces scanned (I already have it apart) people can try 3D printing it or whatnot.  I can't find anywhere that is willing to do the scanning is the problem.  Even if I do, they will probably want a sum of money equal to or greater than I'm willing to spend to do so.

Here I thought finding the car seat would be the hard part! I'm at a loss to find some place to scan it or mold it in fiberglass or what not.

Not concerned with which era TBH, but I finally have a Love Seat on the way and can get to the business of building Gypsy.  Only piece I don't have is a control knob - does anyone have one they'd part with?

Back from the dead - I have a seat on its way to me.  Anyone know of someone who can scan it near Southeastern NH?  I had someone who could but the place closed down, as did the place that did fiberglass, who I had intended to make reps when I finally found a seat.

It was gone before I got the email - SUPERB condition too!  I would have bought it immediately had I seen it.  This is the link:

I have the resources to get the baby seat scanned, but I lack the parts to do so

Wow!  It sure did!

I believe that is the gentleman my kits/parts came from.  He advised much the same today when I was inquiring about the control knob on Gypsy's head.  I'm just impatient I guess  :)

Gypsy is my last bot to build, and I realize about nobody will give one up, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask.  Would be for a good cause as well as there is a low-run custom fiberglass shop in my town and I want to see if they will/can run copies in FRP for less than a king's ransom.

If you are after authentic Eveready 108 lanterns for Gypsy's head or Tom's shoulders, there is a fellow on eBay with some at about $26 shipped

If anyone is after a haircut head, there is a Nestle-branded candy dispenser made by Termotex.  Granted it is tan but it will be painted anyway.  Cost me $12.
