Gypsy's control knob changed twice (as far as I know) over the course of the series.

I'd like one of each, please.  You making them again, Ron?

Seriously though, what is the Sci Fi era one made from?

Randy's going to offer them... eventually.

The CC era is a spigot handle surrounded by ball bearings.

The SciFi era one is the lid of a plastic canister set (My Mom had this same set in the mid 90's)

The Sci Fi era one looks so familiar to me.  Were the lids green?  I'll wait for Randy to get his completed, then I'll buy one of each from him.  In the mean time, it's not like anyone else will notice the missing control knob, lol.

My Mother's was green, but I've seen them at flea markets over the years in a wide array of colors.

Why didn't I buy them?  The same reason I turned down $25 Century car seats at the GatewayCon in 1999....

"When am I ever going to build a bot?!"

I don't know why the color green resonated with me, lol.  Somehow, though I knew they were green.  I know what you mena about the "when am I ever gonna' build a bot" thing.  I was looking at doing it back in 2001, (I was researching how to build my first Proton Pack) and thought "That looks like fun, but where would I put them?"  No problem, now.  If only I had had the foresight to look for and collect Bot parts back then, lol.  Well live and learn.  ;D

That's the funny thing though, finding actual parts wasn't really that much easier back then... and you had more competition even at a national level for "holy grail" parts like barrels and Coopers.  Plus, at that point I think most people who weren't juiced in with Gary (what a great guy) were using those old scratch built engine blocks.

Sort of a dark age... but then again, right?

I know that Bob's are vau-formed and then cast in resin to better attach them to her head.

SciFi Era:

Necro post for the good of the company. Has anyone been successful in identifying the original lid used to make this control knob? I remember there being one in my house growing up and I've been racking my brain and scouring Google for an answer to no avail.
Uh ... I'm gonna go clean his room, too.

It's from a plastic (sometimes glass) apothecary-style jar used for candy.

Something like (but not exactly) this:

I believe the knob is gone (since that's where the control tube comes out now).
