Sizes for the Cooper XL7-FG
« on: October 07, 2013, 05:02:06 PM »
Though is seems BBI used different sizes of Coopers throughout he years, is there a size you guys prefer for your builds? Does YOUR Crow need to have a specific size for him to be YOUR Crow?

It seems like BBI used a small size for theJoel years:

And then a large size for the Mike/Sci-Fi years:

It seems the angle of the net changes over the years, as well, with it resting slightly lower in the Sci-Fi years.

It's an optical illusion.

In reality, the "net" should be wide enough to clear the sides of the soap dish by a tiny bit.  If you tried that with a child size "net," it wouldn't clear the sides at all.

F'reals? I know there was some contention on the Yahoo group a few years back about the nets coming in different sizes, but I thought it had been settled there were definitely Small, Medium and Large sizes.

I used to own a youth sized XL7, but for the life of me, I can't find the comparison picture I made years ago!

Let me keep digging!

I know I have a Large XL7 for my Crow and I compared it to one of my Medium sized XL7 and they're pretty much identical.  The only real difference is the medal net part; the panel that has the sticker with the sizing information is switched from one side to another.

I'm modeling my Crow off of Pre-movie Crow Seasons 4-6.

I prefer that Crow because my first Mst3k episode was 416 Fire Maidens From Outer Space, that I watched back in
early 2007 when I was 9.

I prefer a smaller Cooper XL7 FG for my Crow, because In my opinion Trace was the better puppeteer, Crow was more alive and animated.
