Bob's servo kit
« on: August 24, 2017, 07:30:41 AM »
If i do well for the first 9 weeks of school, my mother agreed to order bob's servo kit. Before anyone asks, i'm 14. Anyway can i get info on everything bob did to save steps when building it like say pre drilled holes.(Update: the build has been complete for almost a month now, check out the topic, Tom Servo Build.)

Let's see...

If my memory recalls correctly:

-The foam insulation is already attached to the hoverskirt
-The Hoverskirt is white plastic - no painting required
-The Tyco trains are black plastic - no painting required
-Bolts are already inserted into the upper arms (and come with nuts)
-Bolts are already inserted into the engine block (and come with nuts)
-Holes for the engine block are already drilled into the barrel
-The bottom of the barrel is already cut out
-A hole has been cut in the top of the barrel for the PVC control rod
-The shoulders are white plastic - no painting required
-The T Connecter has been cut down to shape to fit inside the head
-The upper arms and hands are already white, but painting them is still recommended as resin will yellow over time

I think that's all the time saving stuff Bob included in the kit!  I hope this helps!  Good luck on your build!  ;D

I purchased Bob's kit, but there was no bolts attached to the arms or engine block. There were no pre-drilled holes for the arms or engine block, but there are markings to show where to drill. I don't know if that was just mine, but be prepared just in case. Hope I helped!

Hey I was 15 when I first built my crow, and 16 when I built my Servo. So it's good to see a young rookie.

Although i have known of it since 2015, But i forgot check it out at the time. The video that i first saw mst3k in, happened to be a video about Godzilla. Which was a top 10 Godzilla Movies, And Godzilla vs Megalon was on there, mostly due to it being hilariously bad even for the time, and the mst3k episode, with the first riff i had heard from the series, "Try not to get sucked into the vortex of hell Billy!"

Good Choice, Godzilla Vs. Megalon is one of my ALL time favorite episodes! Heck, both of the Godzilla episodes are my favorites.
