Fan-made episodes (pic heavy)
« on: April 20, 2011, 04:12:58 PM »
Anybody else here ever attempt a fan episode? I tried to put one together for the longest time, even got some test footage and an intro finished, but alas we could never get everyone's schedules to mesh.

Here are some clips from what we did:

And some shadowrama tests:

And a couple of pics of our SOL set:

If anybody else has anything from a fan MST, I'd personally love to see it.

Thanks for lookin'!

I think we did that video in 2004 or so... long before Rifftrax or Cinematic Titanic.

What does the "M" stand for?
"There's gotta be a point where he stops ripping apart his clothing and finding stuff!"

From 1997 to 2003, a group which included myself did a version of MST3K for the Anime convention Otakon called, appropriately enough, Mystery Anime Theater 3000.
It was done as a live stage show, complete with props, costumes, and, of course, Bots (all by me ;))
We also shot a credit sequence, and had a CGI corridor sequence done by Mark Sachs (our Joel) from storyboards by yours truly (my user name hints at what else I did ;D).
Here's some footage:

We're bringing it back for Otakon's 20th year, so I'm refurbishing Servo and Crow:

Weird coincidence... I stumbled across these videos about a year ago...

Love the bots, man!
